Art and Yoga Retreat
June 2, 2023 @ 5:00 pm - June 4, 2023 @ 5:00 pm
Germinating Beauty, Creativity and Care for All
Art and yoga are both powerful tools that provide opportunities to connect to self and all that is and to envision and create things we wish to manifest in the world. In this 3-day retreat we will connect deeply to the cycles and regenerative processes in nature and locate those aspects in ourselves. We’ll look to seed pods for inspiration in both our fiber based art project and our yoga and meditation sessions.
Seed pods act as protective places for seeds to gain nourishment and germinate new life. Your pod will house and protect something you wish to germinate and manifest in yourself and the world. We will honor and nurture this process along with our bodies and minds through guided meditation and gentle yoga.
This is a wet felting project appropriate for both those who have worked with fiber for years or are brand new to the art form.

About Our Yoga Practice
Our retreat takes place at the cusp of Summer, as we leave behind the exuberance of spring and enter a time of high energy, longer days and increased heat we come into full blossom. Yoga provides us an opportunity to harness this energy to recharge and nourish the soul, we’ll enhance this natural state by connecting with nature, our bodies and our creativity.
The practices are beginner friendly and no experience is needed. Gentle movement will encourage opening the shoulders, neck, back and hips. Attention to easeful breath flow will help to clear the mind and encourage the creative process. There will be modifications for those who are unable to access the floor. Props will be provided, but if you have a mat, please bring it along.
